Greetings Gastrognomes,
If you are anything like us, you are counting down the days to our official First Anniversary! We can hardly believe it, but as of October 4th, the site will be an entire year old.
We know we are starting to celebrate a little early, but in the upcoming weeks we're making some special changes to the site that we will announce as they become available. Stay tuned.
We also thought it was a good time to re-evaluate everything the site has to offer. We love "the gastro.gnomes" blog, but we're itching to change up the questions, in the hope that we can not only freshen up, but continue to learn the most we can from the varied food professionals featured each week.
Although we could just decide between the two of us which questions we should change, edit, alter and add, we'd much rather hear from you! We built this community for a reason and we value your insight. So let us know: what questions do you want us to ask the gastro.gnomes?
We anxiously anticipate your reply.

Director of Food Safety & Sustainability
Batali Bastianich Hospitality Group
Once you see Elizabeth's TEDxManahttan speech, you'll know exactly why we tracked her down to do a blog profile: she's creative, funny, and equally dedicated to good food and to her dog Vespa. Essentially, we want to be friends with her. And as it turns out, her answers provide insight on her perseverance - a key to any good food job success story. While we don't love the experience of hating your (not good food) job, we do love how it motivated Elizabeth to chase her dreams. Read More
