LAUGHING . . . is the shortest distance between two people.
In last week's newsletter, we stated '2016 has been a wild and intense year.' So wild and intense, in fact, that we totally botched up which year we were wrapping up. Don't worry, we're not wishing away the time. If you can believe it, that typo made it through several rounds of edits. Naturally, when a few folks pointed it out, we had a really good laugh over it. We hope that you did, too.
Our errors are a reminder that this newsletter is written - week in and week out - by real, live humans. You can see us below // right, appropriately laughing in the kitchen during the program we co-hosted in the Catskills this past September (photo credit: @moonandlune - one of our new favorite people to laugh along with).
Laughing has been such a special part of our relationship. At first we were delighted to meet another soul who laughed as loudly as we ourselves did - which is a feat (those who have met us will agree). We can be in a crowd of hundreds of people and folks will come up and say, 'I knew you were here. I could hear you laughing from across the room'.
We hope that, regardless of what you celebrate this season, you are surrounded by kindred spirits with whom you can laugh. We would trade in any christmas cookie // present // holiday treat, just for some good laughs with great people. Life is so much sweeter when you are in good company.
From this day forward, the days get longer and brighter. We're so glad to be heading into the sunshine with you.
Happy Solstice,
Taylor & Dorothy
Co-Founders, Good Food Jobs
PS // As part of our holiday refresh we're taking next week off from the newsletter and blog. You can expect to see us back in your inbox Tuesday, January 5th, 2016. Cheers.
