Gotham Greens has an immediate opening for an exceptional individual to work directly with the Marketing Manager and CEO to coordinate the company’s marketing and branding initiatives. This role will: assist in the creation and analysis of digital and traditional marketing content, social media brand development, corporate communications, public relations, and general marketing support. This position will focus on the development and implementation of marketing projects and strategies that articulate, influence and further develop the Gotham Greens brand; help execute the company’s social media campaigns, promotions and corporate communications.

The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainable agriculture, well informed on local and regional food culture and embraces Gotham Greens’ core values and mission. Prior experience in the natural and organic food industry a plus but not required. This is an opportunity for a driven individual to assume a position at a rapidly growing, innovative, disruptive company in the 21st century food system. The position is based in New York with opportunities to transfer to other company locations in the future.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
  • Digital Marketing and Branding
  • Generate digital content including presentations, video and email campaigns
  • Create and implement brand marketing strategy
  • Create and update marketing materials and website content
  • Create traditional marketing collateral for events
  • Represent Gotham Greens as a brand ambassador including organizing and leading in-store demos
  • Support marketing and sales function
  • Public Relations, Media, and Social Media
  • Support social media initiative
  • Create, manage and analyze digital media campaign
  • Handle PR/media inquiries
  • Coordinate media opportunities and special event
  • Coordinate company communication including but not limited to incoming inquiries for greenhouse tours, partnerships, and other marketing opportunities
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, social media, marketing and branding in a specialty food or agriculture environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, copywriting and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Creative flair and lively personality
  • Passionate commitment to company vision
  • Appreciation to principles of sustainable agriculture and food and knowledge of local and regional foodshed.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency of MS Office.
  • Design experience and strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop required. Video editing and photography skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc. Must have experience managing social media campaigns and analytics.
  • Collaborative spirit and willingness to pitch in on a wide variety of tasks
