Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
I'm not quite sure what we would do without Good Food Jobs - we find absolutely the most passionate, reliable and qualified people through your website.

I'm a huge fan of GFJ. It's where I found my current job, and I have always found your calm and reassuring outreach helpful in both looking for and having a job in the food world.

All signs have been pointing to education this week. As you know, we're big believers in the magic of teaching and learning. But we relish the opportunity to point out that education can not solely be found in traditional schools.
With that in mind, here are some things that have come across our desk this week, both food-related and otherwise, that we wanted to share with you:
- We just placed a seed order for 2014 and spent a few extra hours soaking up the Education resources on the Seed Savers Exchange website. This will be the year that we make our first attempt to save some seeds.
- The idea of Hackschooling. Yes, we love when 13-year-olds open our eyes to the amazingly obvious.
- For the left-coasters, Fare Resources put together a stellar set of classes on Food Business. For those that live in the Bay Area and can attend, we are already jealous.
- The Vermont Law School Center for Agriculture and Food Systems' tagline says it all: Law for the Sustainable Foodshed.
- For the New York City dwellers: EcoPracticum is coming to you this Spring. Or you could just opt for their Hawaii edition.
- Meadows + More is rethinking the model of a sustainable farm. See how.
- While the Uncollege is not directly related to the food movement, we think there are plenty of applicable lessons to learn from their message.
It's easy for the deep snow and cold winter (at least where we live in the Northeast US) to make you feel stagnant. But we try to take advantage of the opportunity to slow down for a second, soak up some books and films, plot a project, and/or learn something new. And that forward momentum is (almost) as good as the promise of a warm sunny day.
Keep learning,
Taylor & Dorothy
