Company description
The mission of the McDowell Farm School (MFS) is to inspire curiosity, teach problem solving, and empower community connections through sustainable agriculture. At MFS, students apply classroom concepts to the natural world. Our 3 day, 2 night programs put students on the farm and provide a unique opportunity for learning, questioning, and experiencing farm life. Focusing on where our food comes from, students k-12 work in our gardens, care for animals, and cook food for the community.
Our classroom extends beyond the walls of our teaching kitchen, beyond our 40 acres of gardens and pasture, and into the 1100 acres of forest, streams, and canyons of Camp McDowell. We make the world our place to discover and strive to be the world COULD be!
