Job description

Barista Cashier Wanted - Well presented, hard working, team player to make coffee drinks at our Coffee Bar that "proudly serves" Starbucks products, help run a cash register in the Blue Glass Café during lunch rushes, help with restocking and generally bring GREAT SERVICE to our VIP clientele in the John Hancock Tower (that's right, the tallest building in Boston at 200 Clarendon Street!).

We run our operations out of the Blue Glass Café in the first floor lobby of the building. While the building is not open to the public, the Blue Glass Café and Coffee Bar is! The Coffee Bar is open Monday - Friday, 7am - 6pm with 8 hour shifts ranging across those hours. At the Coffee Bar it is a 4 person team with everybody helping out with whatever it takes to take care of each other and take care of the guest. When it's slow at the Coffee Bar, we slide over and help out in the café itself because we're all part of the Blue Glass Family!

Oh yeah, did we mention that we don't work nights or weekends unless we're rocking out some cool industry dinner/reception?

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Produce orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to describe coffee blends and product to customers
• Ability to operate espresso bar equipment
• Prior starbucks barista experience very helpful!
Reporting to this position: Coffee Bar Supervisor

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 #.
• Employee must be able to work on their feet 7.5 hour per day excluding breaks.
• Employee has to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
• Ability to load and push a cart a short distance.
• Ability to use a cash register or computer key board for up to 2 hours continuously.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $12.00 - $14.00
