Job description

Stone Barns Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Digital Content Manager reporting to the Director of Digital Strategy and Fundraising.  The Digital Content Manager will be an integral member of the Digital/Communications team, driving the creation of video content to further the mission of Stone Barns Center.

 Responsibilities:

  • Managing the production of promotional, social and educational videos across several departments including marketing, development, and education
  • Filming and photographing on-site events
  • Collaborating on content ideas for social media
  • Regular updating of web editorial content
  • Creating e-blasts and testing different content and messaging strategies
  • Monitoring trends, best practices and ways to improve content quality
  • Editing content produced by other team members for consistency of online voice
  • Additional writing and proofreading as necessary
  • Engaging with influencers and partners to build relationships and encourage cross-promotion

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Stone Barns Center’s mission
  • Strong experience in video editing and production
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in communications, marketing, design/UX or related field
  • 3 years of content development experience
  • Knowledge of and experience in social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube
  • Excellent communication and proofreading skills

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Superior proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience in web CMS system(s) and HTML preferred
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and all Microsoft Office applications
  • Keen sense of judgment regarding organization and presentation of content for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and a willingness to help the team get its work accomplished

 Compensation:

 Stone Barns Center offers a salary commensurate with experience and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401k plan and paid time off. This is a full-time, exempt position.
