The Opportunity: We are seeking an HR & Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate fashion as well as payroll and HR monthly, quarterly and annual reports. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and updated HR data in Paycom. This role provides internal service to staff and managers as it relates to payroll, benefits, application of HR policies and Paycom. Support benefits administration and staff on-boarding process. Ensures compliance with city, state and federal reporting due dates: ACA, HCSO, EEO, DOL and others as required.
Your Expertise:
- Accounting / HR degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years’ experience in a payroll, HR or finance function
- Able to understand, apply and explain legal term and processes
- Good project and time management skills.
- Able to exercise judgment and remain objective under stressful situations while maintaining a superior level of internal service. Superior listening skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools. Experience with Asana a plus. Advanced Excel is ideal; Pivot table, If, etc.
- Basic understanding of Spanish language. Bilingual preferred.
