Growing Washington's headquarters is situated in the beautiful Nooksack Valley, about 45 miles south of Vancouver, BC and 80 miles north of Seattle, WA. We grow over 120 acres of varied crops year-round. We also organize the largest 100% local CSA pack in the region with well over 1,300 CSA boxes. We deliver to Whatcom, Skagit, King, and Snohomish counties, serving over 100 neighborhoods and 50 businesses, such as Google, REI, Amazon, Expedia, and the Seattle Seahawks!

Job description

Growing Washington, a certified organic farm located in Everson, is looking for new employees for our upcoming 2017 season! Join forces with a company dedicated to making positive changes in our community. The job entails working through our CSA (Consumer Supported Agriculture) season, which runs from mid-June through Halloween/Thanksgiving. We have both full-time and part-time positions available and openings for Thursday delivery drivers with urban Seattle routes.

A complimentary local choice food box will be made available for CSA employees and financial incentives will be awarded to those who work the entire season.

Job Positions for CSA Support Staff are as follows: 

• WEDNESDAY PACK CREW - Every Wednesday from June 14th through October/November. It's a long day of putting veggies into a box, which seems pretty simple -- but we do have a long and varied list of items, so it requires not only physical endurance, but also quick thinking and a good attitude! Approximately 8-10 hours each Wednesday.
• THURSDAY DELIVERY CREW - Every Thursday drive an established route, mostly in Seattle neighborhood. Shifts starts early and require a smart phone or GPS system to help navigate. We'll have everything mapped out for you so after a couple trips, you’ll probably have the route memorized. You’ll be sent with a weekly driver’s list of boxes, which you’ll check off at every stop. Approximately 10 hours each Thursday.
• PREP CREW - Every Tuesday, assist in the preparing for the pack day. You’ll be working with about 6 other people, weighing, bagging, and inventorying each item for packaging the following day. 8 hour shift.
• FULL-TIME CREW - Work Monday through Friday on a series of duties that focus on our CSA pack, Delivery Drivers, Farmers Markets, Commercial Kitchen, Wholesale Department and Food Harvests. There are a range of things to do and never enough hands or time to get it all done. Get in where you fit in! Approximately 40-50 hours per week.

No previous experience is required. All positions require the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand and walk for extended periods of time. Delivery applicants must submit driving record.
