Our Outdoor Markets and Events Division makes up a huge portion of our activities April through October!We're looking for someone to run the division in collaboration with our experienced Events manager in the setting up, training, breaking down, and coordinating between of our multiple events and locations.
We have seasonal outposts at Smorgasburg, Brooklyn Flea, Summerstage, and Governors Island, and also vend at community events such as the Tribeca Family Festival and The Atlantic Antic.
This is a position that works A LOT every weekend throughout the summer, so we're seeking someone with open weekend as well as evening availability. As the season kicks off and the weather gets nicer, there is a chance that the position will become full time. You will run a team and also assist in the recruiting of staff when needed.
Requirements:
A good work ethic--maintain a high quality of service during long shifts
The ability to juggle multiple tasks and work in fast-paced environments
Reliability and consistency
Good management skills (you will coordinate staff (scoopers) in various outdoor markets, happening at the same time)
At ease with numbers (able to measure sales, forecast ice cream and dry ice usage)
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (ice cream tubs, small carts, dry ice)
Driver's license and clean driving record strongly preferred.
Experience in food logistics prefered (food cart, outdoor vending tents etc)
