The Opportunity
We have an immediate opening for a Junior Designer. This position is responsible for creating all visual marketing collateral for the Bi-Rite Family of Businesses. The Junior Designer will collaborate with the Visual Resource Manager to create compelling, sales and campaign-driven visual marketing assets and product packaging consistent with Bi-Rite messaging, goals, and brand. The Junior Designer must have proficiency in core Adobe Suite software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and work comfortably in both print and digital mediums. This position is also responsible for managing a contractor.
The Responsibilities
- Create print, illustration, and web/digital materials based on campaign goals and themes
- Understand and accommodate various physical displays across retail locations to present a consistent look, feel, and impact
- Collaborate with internal guests to translate business goals into visual concepts and deliverables
- Present design concepts to internal guests with business driven explanations for design choices
- Ensure that all work meets Brand guidelines and works cohesively across campaigns and projects
- Take design templates and guidelines provided by external design firm(s) and extrapolate them into collateral and product packaging
- Produce editorial photography used on Social Media and for specific campaign assets
- Maintain visual and art files on shared network drive and actively promote accessibility and proper use of key assets across all departments and staff/users
- Collect and store physical visual assets that are used annually
- Manages assigned contractors including scheduling, work direction, and processing invoices through accounting
Your Expertise
- Design degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years’ experience in a design shop, creative agency, or in-house Marketing services department
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Expert knowledge of print production processes, file creation, specifications, and workflow
- Expert knowledge of web/digital formats and best practices
- Strong sense of color, typography, and design composition.
- Strong sketching, drafting, and illustration skills
- Strong presentation and meeting preparation skills
- Basic photography skills required
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and project management tools. Experience with Asana a plus.

Compensation
