Myers Produce is a woman-owned regional distributor based in Northern Vermont.  We buy fruit and vegetables from small, primarily organic farms in Vermont and Massachusetts, and sell to wholesale customers in New York City and the Boston area.  We have been in business since November 2013.

Job description

We are looking for an individual to fill our Vermont Route Lead position.  Our Vermont Route Lead completes two pick-up routes throughout Vermont each week (starting and ending in Hadley, MA), as well as two shifts per month working with our team in our warehouse space in Hadley.

Responsibilities

• Complete Tuesday and Friday pick-up routes in Vermont
• Operate a refrigerated 22' box truck
• Communicate any issues, delays, or concerns regarding the Vermont route
• Assist in labeling and organization of boxed produce in our warehouse.

The ideal candidate for this position:

• Has experience driving a box truck in Northeast conditions
• Is comfortable and focused when working independently
• Is observant, has excellent attention to detail
• Understands how critical their role is to Myers Produce
• Adapts well to the changes and surprises that are inevitable in our line of work
• Likes physical work, is able to lift 40-50 lb boxes 
• Is interested in our mission
• Has a smart phone (not required, but it's helpful).

• Clean driving record
