Job description

he Falk School of Sustainability seeks candidates for professor (open rank) with training in agro-ecological systems to contribute to the curriculum and vitality of the graduate and undergraduate programs, including Food Studies and Sustainability. The position requires vision and initiative and a desire to join our vibrant multidisciplinary community of scholars, practitioners and activists. The assistant/associate professor of agro-ecology will be responsible for teaching applied agricultural and natural science courses, including agro-ecology; but candidates in any field from the social to the natural sciences who meet these requirements are welcome. Relevant fields include but are not limited to: sustainable agriculture, agro-biodiversity, agro-ecology, history, rural sociology, anthropology, and biology.

Qualifications: Experience teaching agro-ecology and using applied methods in multiple settings; Support an academic agenda focused on applied and community-based projects; Classroom and field experience teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in afro-ecology fields; Experience with student and community-focused research.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, 50k to 100k
