Sustainable Nantucket is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that is cultivating a healthy Nantucket by building a more locally-based and self-reliant food system on-island,  and a stronger local economy. These efforts include expanding agricultural demand and production; increasing access to local food for the community,and in our restaurants and schools --through our farmers market, our incubator farm, our farm to school program and our Nantucket Grown Campaign; and educating our community about sustainability.

Job description

Sustainable Nantucket's Farm to School Coordinator cultivates and maintains the Farm to School teaching garden, develops and implements programming, performs outreach in schools and community, and connects local farms with food services. Ideal candidate will have an educational background, experience in sustainable agriculture and a strong understanding of program development.
Desired skills and attributes:
A creative, proactive, team player with strong writing skills. Experience in working with children and managing volunteers.
Required:
Must pass a CORI check. Must have a drivers' license and own a vehicle.
Salary and benefits:
Position starts at $34,500/year. Health and retirement benefits offered.
