Since 2005, we've built more than a thousand vegetable gardens utilizing a full line of customized services: design, installation, maintenance, and education. Role: The build crew is responsible for the installation of all of our garden projects. Tasks include fence installation, soil preparation, raised bed construction, irrigation system installation, etc. Garden builders are expected to be outdoor professionals, working in all conditions to create and maintain our gardens.Ideal candidate will possess:

- Carpentry and electrical skills are beneficial
- Ability to drive stick shift and be comfortable driving a truck with trailer are plusses
Reports To: Foremen, Chief Operations Officer
Start Date: Early March 2016
Season: This is a seasonal position (approximately March 16 to June 12, with the possibility of extension). Full-time and part-time options.
Work Week: The Foreman communicates the work schedule, which is dictated by the build schedule. Workdays are typically 8 to 10 hours, which includes 30 minutes for lunch and two 15-minute breaks. These hours will vary seasonally, depending on need.
The ability and willingness to work on Saturdays throughout the season is mandatory, though some flexibility with regard to scheduled Saturdays off will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Reliable transportation is required to our headquarters in Highland Park, IL on a daily basis. A clean driving record and valid driver’s license is also required. Final employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
