Taste Talks is a premium content platform about the intersection of food & culture, exploring issue around the Future of Taste, with an annual festival in Brooklyn & Chicago that is expanding to new cities.

Northside Media Group is a Brooklyn-based media, events and community company that showcases the very best in emerging tech, music, fashion, food, art, design and more through a robust network of magazines, websites and events.  

Northside Media is looking for an Associate Editor for Taste Talks. Our ideal candidate will have a deep interest in and ongoing engagement with food, as well as how food relates with the fields of design, arts and entertainment.  The candidate will be responsible for managing a stable of writers, creating premium editorial content, management of website maintenance, and will have an involvement in festival programming.

Requirements:

• Strong familiarity with food culture, the major players, emerging trends and the way technology is rapidly changing the culture 
• Ability to write long and short, clean and precise. And with a quick turnaround time when needed. 
• Ability to run an editorial calendar and post with a regular schedule 
• Ability to copy edit 
• Strong writing voice 
• Strong judgment of what constitutes an engaging story
