Blue Bottle is writing a new chapter to the story and traditions of coffee and hospitality, and the Digital Growth Manager will help us reach more guests and tell that story through various digital channels. You’ll be creating and executing a diverse range of online acquisition strategies to bring more customers to Blue Bottle@Home as well as supporting our stores through our digital presence. This is an amazing opportunity to help establish and drive the digital customer acquisition and retention function at one of the most exciting and fast-growing consumer brands out there. This position will be based in Oakland, CA.
You will:
- Develop online strategies through various media to grow Blue Bottle@Home customers cost-efficiently through both subscription and a la carte sales of coffee online
- Create content campaigns, SEO, Social, CRM and more; help design and launch successful paid marketing pilots
- Plan, execute, monitor and optimize online customer acquisition and retention efforts through data gathering and analysis and create a feedback loop on which tactics and campaigns are most successful
- Work closely with our Communications Team to shape the content and strategy of online campaigns
- Ensure all online efforts and messaging are consistent with the values, overall story, voice, and brand personality of Blue Bottle Coffee
- Collaborate effectively with other teams (technology and engineering, finance, coffee production and logistics, etc.)
- An experienced online marketer who knows the tricks of the trade and is inventing some new ones
- A strategic thinker who is also equally able and happy to roll up your sleeves and execute
- Analytical and data/metric-obsessed, always seeking internal and external data to validate your approach and optimize results further for the company and for your work
- Always looking for the latest innovation or approach to give you an edge against competitors
- Collaborative and able to build strong, trust-based relationships with your internal customers/partners
- Comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly changing environments, and building from scratch
- 5+ years online marketing experience for a high-profile, high-growth consumer business/product
- Familiarity with a wide range of acquisition channels (SEO, social media, email/CRM, referrals, paid media, etc.) and experience driving campaigns across each of them
- Our ideal candidate will have experience with subscription models as well as a la carte purchases
- Prior experience with commonly used online marketing tools and systems
