Job description

Myers Produce is a new regional produce distributor that operates within Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York.  We buy produce directly from small, primarily organic farms in Vermont and Western Massachusetts, and sell to wholesale customers in New York City and Boston.

We are seeking an individual who will manage our MA-to-NYC logistics and distribution route.  As we expand both our urban customer base and our clan of rural growers, we are at a point where our NYC system requires an individual manager.

The Distribution Manager will be responsible for analyzing and improving upon our NYC distribution system, preparing NYC route paperwork, and participating in produce organization and delivery.

The Distribution Manager could be based in Western Massachusetts (in the Pioneer Valley area) or in New York City.  We are prepared to discuss a few different versions of this position, depending on where the manager is based.

• Familiar with Brooklyn & Manhattan
• Capable of driving a 14' box truck
• Capable of lifting 50 lb boxes
• More than capable of early mornings
• Ready to engage with the physical as well as mental challenges that are common in this line of work.
