Must Love Ice Cream// Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream is seeking an experienced office manager.

Founded in 2008 by Laura O'Neill and Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has become internationally renowned as a leader in the in artisanal ice cream movement . The trio set out to revitalize modern ice cream making, bringing back traditional methods, while using the worlds best ingredients. Van Leeuwen now has stores and trucks in NYC and LA, a wholesale line in NY and an Indonesian restaurant in Brooklyn (Selamat Pagi). With the recent release of the Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream Cookbook and a 3 new stores and a new ice cream factory on the way, 2015 marks their largest growth year to date. 

Van Leeuwen is seeking an experienced professional to help facilitate day to day office and operations management. The position is multifaceted and will evolve as the company continues to steadily grow. 

An understanding of bookkeeping, cash management and financial analysis is a big plus, but not a necessity.

The position will be closely tied to all departments at the company and will report directly to the founding partners, production, office, deliveries, distribution and retail operations. 

Ability to multi-task, stay organized and take initiative is essential to be successful in this position. 

We are seeking an individual to help us maintain a solid and streamlined office operation and grow with the company. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
General office management
Invoicing, receiving payments and managing cash flows
Creating and maintaining organizational systems to ensure an efficient office operation 
Managing required insurances
Monitoring recurring bills and implementing cost controls 
Liases with wholesale clients and various suppliers to ensure compliance with AR and AP terms
Being first point of contact for all major legal and financial issues coming into the office. 
Order office supplies according to company standards and policies.
Support other department heads in execution of office related matters. 

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities and experience:
Highly organized, professional and upbeat personality type
Self motivated with ability to work well as part of a team
Proficient in Quickbooks, Word, Excel, Google docs
Ability to learn payroll and PoS software
Prior experience managing an office
