Job description

Employment at Sleepy Root Farm is an opportunity to experience a full season of locally marketed vegetable production. We strive to provide an experience that is educational and realistic­ - we want you to see what life is like running a small farm that uses people power more than big machinery. Employees will be involved in most aspects of the farm’s production including greenhouse production, moveable high tunnel growing, transplanting, seeding, soil building, weeding, farm maintenance, harvesting, and packing and delivery of CSA and wholesale produce to the surrounding area and the Twin Cities.

Working at Sleepy Root Farm is an excellent opportunity for those who have an interest in farming and are willing to work hard. Full season employees are responsible for most areas of production through the season, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility in an area of interest. Employees who fit with the farm and show a desire to take on more responsibility may have the opportunity for long­term employment over multiple seasons. We also hire a part time position to help with all of our farm tasks.
