Biodynamic Gardener wanted

The Cascadia Society for Social Working is located on the beautiful North Shore of Vancouver British Columbia. We are an urban lifesharing community, part of the international Camphill movement, dedicated to working together with adults of all abilities.

Our activities include many crafts such as basket, candle, fibre arts and pottery making, as well as a strong emphasis on the arts and the celebration of festivals. We have a substantial biodynamic garden with a large composting system, and we work at beautifying the neighbourhood, growing on any available garden space we can find. We are actively connected to the Edible Garden project, C-Dar Farm in Squamish, and our local vegan restaurant.

We're looking for a part time gardener (approx 26 hrs/wk).  This person must have knowledge and/or experience with organic/biodynamic gardening. An important aspect of the daily work is gardening and teaching skills to special needs adults. To have experience & interest in this field is of great importance.

Our current garden crew is comprised of a strong group of six (special needs adults) and three coworkers. Our challenge is to maximize the growing season and to expand our operation to include rooftop gardening and some marketing. If you have expertise in the above areas please contact us.

We're looking forward in showing you around the garden!
