Wholesale Sales Rep

Job description

Our Wholesale Program is thriving; we currently source cheese, cured meats, olives, and more for over 90 restaurants in the region. We're looking for the right motivated, knowledgeable, professional, and passionate person to join our team as a sales account rep. This person should have a working knowledge of cheese and customer service experience. Sales experience a plus! This person needs to be a go-getter in order to keep up with and drive the business growth! Not for someone who stresses out easily. Upon hire, you'll absorb 40 accounts and then will be expected to maintain those while gaining new ones (ie cold calls!) as well.

Qualifications:
~Minimum of 1 year experience working in the cheese industry
~Experience in customer service
~Sales experience is a plus (but not a requirement)

  • Provide excellent customer service and be friendly, approachable, outgoing, and attentive with an insatiable and contagious passion for cheese and other artisanal goods.
  • Maintain impeccable hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Have outstanding time management skills.  This includes the ability to prioritize effectively. 
  • Have flexibility to execute short-term notice projects is a must.
  • Be a self-starter, wanting to take initiative and create programs and systems. This should be seen as an exciting challenge (not an obstacle to overcome).
  • Enjoy being part of a team and always create a positive work environment for colleagues.
  • Work under pressure and under tight deadlines gracefully and effortlessly while problem solving.
  • Possess an understanding of financials, including (but not limited to) tracking revenue and expenses and developing and understanding budgets.
  • Have essential computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Word/Excel and Google chrome.
  • Desire to be a contributing member of our business and take ownership within it. 
The Wholesale Department is open Mondays through Fridays. Sales reps should expect to work an average of 40-45 hours a week. This salaried position comes with 10 paid vacation days, 5 paid sick days, 50% coverage of health and dental plans, significant store discounts, and more fun perks. This position reports to the Wholesale Manager (Casie).
