THE ROLE: WORKPLACE SERVICE SPECIALIST - GLOBAL FOOD
In this role, you will be part of a team focused on providing Googlers with best in class value driven workplace solutions that support Google's unique culture. You will help the Global Food Program Managers analyze the effectiveness and efficiencies of the food program’s services and operations, create internal reports and track key performance indicators. Demonstrating strong organization skills, you will manage the tracking of our vendor contracts and Quarterly Business Reviews. You will collaborate regularly with program managers who oversee the workplace services/perks, such as fitness and massage, and work to ensure that all programs provide Googlers with resources and education on health, wellness and balance.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate a collaborative, friendly and fun work environment that fosters innovation and productivity in support of Google’s unique culture.
- Work independently and strategically to assist Program Managers by performing tasks supporting the global operations of food services, including tracking data and metrics, helping to develop and analyze information from the annual global food survey, reporting on financial and program performance and overseeing logistics of pilot programs.
- Foster innovation for the Workplace Services team's food, health and wellness programs through research, data gathering, analysis and evaluation of business situations and operations.
- Facilitate sharing of best practices and standards/guidelines for programs to internal team members using various Google tools.
- Find innovative ways to streamline and enhance service delivery and educate Googlers about the Google food program’s mission and initiatives.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a program support role with emphasis on hospitality, health and wellness and facilities management.
- Experience working independently and with cross-functional teams to influence, collaborate and solve problems through quantitative data analysis and modeling; demonstrated ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong sense of professionalism, attention to detail, self-directed initiative, resourcefulness, adaptability and ability to work in a global team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in a formal setting and ability to adapt communication and work style based on cultural differences.
- Knowledge of industry trends in food & beverage or hospitality and an interest in health and wellness.
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, etc.); statistical packages to develop rapid and creative solutions and other programming languages a plus.
