Gardner/Cook for Zero Dollar Rent

Job description

If you could grow and prepare healthy organic food for retirees, while getting zero dollar rent and paid to do it, would you? Of course you would, but how?

Well- here is some background. We have started a school called Transition Lab that is emerging as a global leader in both resilience education and cultivating social entrepreneurs. This month we won MIT's CoLab Contest for the best "Local Solution". Out of 40 entries worldwide, Transition Lab's model won both the judge's and popular award for being the most accessible, viable, and replicable approach for reducing CO2 emissions and building a resilient future.

One of our business models that has come out of Transition Lab is spending 10-15 hours a week gardening and cooking for retired baby boomers. Our students recieve zero dollar rent in exchange for their time. Since the cost of health care continues to rise, there are not only lots of folks asking us if we could provide organic healthy food for the elderly, they would pay students for it. This is an economic model where you could make a really good living as an organic gardener and chef without tons of work - or prohibitive start up expenses.

In 2014, our program is only accepting 7 students because we are going to focus specifically on setting up these kinds of businesses. If you are interested in being the pioneer and co-creator of this business, you would become part-owner upon graduation.

So if you want to earn zero-dollar rent, do what you love, and build a resilient future, get in touch.
