We opened the Pleasant Pops Farmhouse Market and Cafe a few short months ago, and in 2013 we are continuing to grow our team. If you’re hard working, enjoy delicious local food and have a good sense of humor, you’ll probably fit in.

About Us

Pleasant Pops began in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, DC. in 2010. We started making pops using the best seasonal ingredients we could find from local farmers’ markets. Two summers later we’ve expanded to selling at four DC area farmers’ markets, our truck Big Poppa, catering, and opening our store. That’s where you come in.

About You

You are someone who is passionate about local food and is interested in crafting a seasonal menu. You are self-driven  and enjoy new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily food prep and pop production
• Maintain efficient operation of kitchen and a clean and safe work environment
• Organize weekly inventory and ordering
• Source local ingredients from area farms

Qualifications

• Dedicated and hard-working
• Organized and proactive
• Ability to lift 30 pounds (or one five gallon bucket) and stand for an 8-hour shift
• Passion for local food and eagerness to learn
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen - a plus
• Enjoy pops – a plus!
