Good Food Jobs seeks a temporary Communications Guru to help us spread the word about some recent and upcoming web developments, help attract new users to our site, and develop an overall marketing & communications strategy for GFJ.

This is currently a part-time contract position, lasting for 3 months, but could lead to additional work in the future.

ABOUT US
Good Food Jobs is the first online job search engine devoted to connecting people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. Since our launch in October 2010 we've posted over 6,500 jobs, collected over 30,000 registered users, and created a central meeting location for people who care about the food that they eat, and the jobs that they have. At any given time we have over 700 active jobs on our website, and grow a little bit more every day.

ABOUT THE POSITION
While we'd love to think that Good Food Jobs is nothing but perfect, we recognize that it's always a wrk in progress. We are fortunate for the 30,000+ faithful users of our site - and how close, passionate, and meaningful our community is - but we also realize that there are 330+ million people in the United States alone. We know that many more of them are interested in marrying their passion with their profession, and doing great work in the world of food - if only they knew about Good Food Jobs.

We are endlessly devoted to creating useful resources to convert more transient food lovers into dedicated gastronomes that bring more good food to more good people. But we can't do it alone. If two minds are better than one, than three minds are better than two. That's right, we need YOU.

WHAT WE WANT
  • a downloadable press kit / media kit 
  • a comprehensive marketing & communications plan for the next year, outlining how and where we can reach new users
  • three press releases designed for upcoming web developments, events, and / or newsworthy dealings
  • a third party to discuss and collaborate on ideas for development

THE DETAILS
This is a part-time, paid position, lasting for approximately 3 months. We estimate that you will work about 20 hours per week. Stipend of $500 per week.
