Job description

Food52 is looking for an intern to help in our Brooklyn Heights test kitchen at weekly photo shoots on Tuesdays. You may be a good fit if you think like a home cook and are organized, skilled, and quick like a restaurant cook. We get a lot done in one day so you'll be on your feet all day planning, shopping, prepping, cooking, and cleaning. You'll get to see how a James Beard Award-winning website assesses and styles recipes, and will work closely with our group of editors and photographers (and taste a lot of good food). Internship is 3 to 4 months.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive by 9am every Tuesday (picking up groceries on the way, as needed); leave when the kitchen is sparkling (can be anywhere from 6:30-8pm)
• Support our Test Kitchen Director by keeping the kitchen clean and organized; washing dishes throughout the day; prep work; and cooking beautiful, photo-ready dishes as assigned
• More hours are available if interested, including remote recipe testing and prep work and shopping for shoots
