Job description

We are Grateful Pastures Farm. We are the only Certified Organic Pasture-Raised Poultry Farm in Georgia. We raise our chickens in mobile shelters, moved daily to ensure they are constantly on fresh grass, layering our soil with a thin layer of manure as they move. We raise chickens, turkeys, and cook bone broth in our USDA-further processing facility. We also have dual-purpose cows that we are planning to start a small-scale dairy operation with. We would love to have someone interested in regenerative agriculture to work with us. 

As our farm hand, you'll be assisting owners and our poultry manager with daily chores for chickens, turkeys, and/or cows. Other duties will be assigned as needed and may include but are not limited to the following:
-Crate Cleaning
-Tote Cleaning
-Weekly Barn Sweeping
-Trash to Dumpster
-Pressure Washing Feeders
-Cleaning out Brooder
-Packing Market Freezers
-Moving Birds to Pasture
-Milking Cows
-Weedeating

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
