Job description
We are looking for a highly skilled person to become a permanent member of our team. The position includes meal production, employee management and kitchen management.
The right candidate must possess excellent people skills. Our team is what makes us so successful and we are a diverse group. The manager must be able to work with the team with a positive attitude at all times. The most important skill this manager must have is the ability to bring out the best in our team.
This position gives the right person the opportunity to work in all aspects of kitchen management including: employee management, meal preparation, ordering, menu design.
You will learn and prepare our signature dishes with creativity and precision and also guide us each season with your knowledge of the costs of goods sold and our high level of quality for our customers.
The job requires a high level of energy and organization. You must be able to work well with our team members while keeping the team motivated and productive. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi task - it's a small kitchen with a lot going on. We pride ourselves in maintaining a respectful yet fun kitchen experience.
The manager must be able to roll up their sleeves and do dishes if needed.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Understand and be able to set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Understand and be able to prepare ingredients (chopping and peeling vegetables, preparing sauces etc.)
Be able to prepare meals in a fast-paced kitchen
Keep all ingredients prepped and ready to be used
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Be able to ensure quality of ingredients
Prepare dishes with attention to presentation
Monitor stock and manage ordering when there are shortages
Skills
Ability to work as a team
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable and familiar with a kitchen environment
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Excellent physical condition and stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly in a small kitchen
The manager must understand and be able to execute all aspects of running a kitchen.
Food Safety Certification is a plus,

this position is: salaried, 50k-75k
