Founded by Rachel Simons 8 years ago, Seed + Mill seeks to become the country’s leading tahini and halva brand. Job description

Seed + Mill opened in Jan 2016 as the first ever store in the United States devoted solely to sesame products, primarily sesame halva and tahini. Our flagship store is located in the bustling Chelsea Market at 409 West 15th Street.

We are looking for experienced “foodie” salespeople to work Friday through Monday. The store is open from 11am until 6pm 7 days/week.

We are looking for people who:

• Enjoy proactively interacting with people and developing relationships with new and returning customers
• Can communicate easily and help our customers to understand all the great ways they can enjoy tahini, halva and sesame
• Display attention to detail, organization and cleanliness
• Can cut and wrap halva neatly
• Are looking to be a part of a dynamic and cool team of people
• Will positively represent our brand
• Are ‘foodies’ who are genuinely passionate about interesting and nutritious ingredients
• By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to make a big impact on the growth of a boutique food business by using your sales and marketing skills, your passion for high quality and unique products and educating consumers about a totally new food concept.

Familiarity with soft-serve ice-cream machines and a Food Handlers Certificate are a plus but not essential.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
