Job description
PRODUCTION LEAD AND ICE CREAM BATCHER
Production Lead and Ice Cream Batcher is responsible for the quality based production operations of the full product portfolio. Responsibilities include ice cream batching, equipment operation including operation of continuous ice cream freezers, executing production schedules, raw material inventory tracking, direct communication with team members and the leadership of production team.
We expect the production lead to have deep understanding of production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and hands on production operations will take up a great part of each production day.

- Production Lead and Ice Cream Batcher will be responsible for proper cleaning in place procedures and training new employees proper food production procedures
- Communicate and coordinate deliveries with drivers and customer support team.
- Raw materials and Finished Goods inventory management.
- Work with Plant Manager to ensure equipment is working properly and as needed and notify management of any issues regarding equipment.
- Ensure efficient collaboration with Plant Manager and
- Management regarding inventory needs, operations and other relevant items.
- Ensure that GMP’s and standard operating procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure that quality and sanitation standards are met and adhered to.
- Ensure all product labels are complete and accurate.
- Analyze production and quality control to meet quality objectives.
- Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
- Monitor overall quality of the product by performing periodic inspections.
- Facility lockup procedures at close of shift.
- Knowledge of international shipping requirements.
- Physical Requirements
Employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds. May be required to operate pallet jack and drive a fork lift. Must be able to work in a below zero walk in freezer environment for short periods of time.
