We are a professional couple in Pleasantville, New York who work from home with extremely busy schedules. We are looking for an experienced and passionate home cook to prepare weekly meals to help our lives run smoothly!

This is a part-time position, with scheduling flexibility and room for lots of creativity. The position involves weekly meal planning for dinner and work lunches, as well as grocery shopping (via Fresh Direct, Farmers Market and greenmarket runs) and meal preparation and cleanup, with instructions for serving. As our home cook, you will be responsible for managing our kitchen and keeping it stocked and organized. This will comprise the majority of your responsibilities, with creativity and passion in the kitchen encouraged and welcomed! 

The position will likely amount to approximately 9 hours a week, with flexibility in scheduling; earliest start date: March 24, 2025. During holidays and summer months, our children will be home from college, so we’ll need you to prepare larger meals for a family of 4 and sometimes for entertaining for up to 12 people.  Having cooking experience -- either cooking school or restaurant work -- is required. Having a car that you can use for errands is preferred; mileage will be reimbursed. We are also looking for someone who is extremely organized and tidy, and is detail oriented (ex. notices we are out of cumin or honey, and will order it!).

Per hour rate: $25/hr

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
