The Rolling Cones is a neighborhood ice cream joint where everyone's welcome and anything goes. We sell premium soft serve ice cream out of our retro Airstream-style trailer around the Hudson Valley.

We’re committed to using the most delicious, highest-quality ingredients from around us — like all-natural dairy from Ronnybrook Farms, premium chocolate from Fruition, cookies from Milk&, and fresh cold brew from Village Coffee. We serve it all with rock & roll flair and a community-minded attitude.

Job description

If you’re looking for a fun, laid-back summer gig, we’ve got you covered. We need a few cool, kind new folks to join our crew in Kingston at our home-base at Kingston Standard Brewing Co. The role is part-time and seasonal, from roughly May-October with a ~20 hr/week commitment (must be available weekends).

Your job will be to serve guests beautifully assembled sundaes, cones and cups – and make a few friends along the way. There is some basic kitchen prep involved, and plenty of opportunity for you to flex your creative muscles in the sundae department. 

Above all, please know that hospitality is at the heart of what we do. We expect all applicants to have a community-minded attitude and share in our philosophy of radical generosity. The ideal candidate has some experience in the restaurant world, and understands the basics of working in a clean & respectful kitchen – but most importantly, brings good vibes to the trailer (and can be trusted with the playlist).

Responsibilities Include: 

• Serving beautiful cones, cups and sundaes to guests
• Interacting with genuine warmth and hospitality to create a fun, lively environment for everyone
• Maintaining a clean and safe work station, in compliance with food safety regulations
• Practicing good communication with your coworkers, management and guests
• Basic culinary prep and kitchen cleaning duties 

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
