Company description
Located in Ashland, Oregon majestic oak meadow hillside minutes to downtown resides a 28 acre, off grid + solar powered small fruit, produce + meat farm.
We are UPROOT!
Our primary focus has been on sustainably raised, slow grown heritage pork + chicken for over 11 years. This last growing season we have integrated a permaculture designed produce garden to our existing meat production.
Our expansion includes fruits, vegetables, flowers from our perennial + pollinator garden within our dope off grid, dry food forest + culinary offerings to the Rogue Valley.
This is an amazing opportunity to live in one of the most beautiful and unique communities in the country. We are offering a full time, long term employment and housing opportunity on our private, tranquil hillside acreage with vast outdoor space to explore + enjoy breath taking valley views + solitude.
Our focus is on the education + creation of the highest quality nutrient dense proteins + dry farmed low input foods for local chefs, consumers + retailers. This season, our emphasis is on providing healthy food access to all with the opening of a new retail shop in Phoenix, Oregon.
Our farm is actively working with Oregon Pasture Network to guide operation and land needs. The crew of heritage pigs + chickens rotationally grazed is over a larger acreage. We are looking for a lead to create a cross fencing plan within the space and manage a more intensive grazing program for the production.
