Job description
We are hiring a General Manager who is excited to lead this legacy of vibrant inclusivity into the future. This position requires a highly organized individual with restaurant/food and beverage industry experience who is both detail-oriented and visionary.
Reporting + Management Duties: The position will report directly to the Seawall (R. House’s parent company) leadership team. This position will manage three R. House team members - the Bar Manager, Operations Manager, and Private Events Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
General
- Oversee all R. House operations and procedures.
- Foster a positive and hospitality-focused culture among the R. House team, from the bartenders and bussers, to vendors and their staffs, to managers and collaborators.
- Support all of the R. House managers in their distinct roles and management responsibilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, maintaining a close relationship with chefs & managers and handling coordination.
- Work with the Operations Manager to oversee the house team of floor managers, ambassadors/bussers, including hiring, training and scheduling.
- Support the Operations Manager in managing the Pop Up.
- Coordinate, along with the Bar Manager, safety procedures and personnel for R. House/r.bar.
- Maintain and update the handbook procedures for the house team.
- Lead HR procedures - working with the Seawall HR manager.
- Be present at the food hall, especially during high volume times
- Annually create and implement a vision and blueprint for R. House’s success into the future and work with the R. House team to accomplish it.
Facilities/Administrative
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance and upgrades to the building and market hall space including periodic maintenance and coordination with Seawall Property Management.
- Lead negotiation and coordination of all vendor contracts
- Support the Operations Manager in carrying out reoccurring stall inspections to maintain the highest standard from our merchants.
- Financial oversight and setting of the budgets.
- Work with Seawall Accounting to ensure all R. House tenants are up to date on rent payments.
Management + Leasing
- Oversight of Marketing, Public and Private Events team.
- Coordination with Bar Manager of all bar operations including specials, collaborations with vendors, events, and staffing.
- Support and work with neighbors and the community of Remington to ensure a positive relationship.
- Continually update the house rules and regulations and enforce them.
Coordinate and manage stall turnover processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience in restaurants, corporate hospitality, and/or high volume customer experience settings
- Ideally with direct operations and “on-the-floor” experience
- Personnel management experience with a commitment and track record of building a healthy, productive, and collaborative team culture
- Ability to work nights and weekends in-person at R. House

Compensation + Benefits:
- Compensation range - $80-100,000, DOE
