One way that we achieve this is by operating a variety of farmers’ markets across the bay area. PCFMA currently manages over 30 farmers’ markets, making us the oldest and largest farmers’ market association on the West Coast!

Summary: Elevate the visual story of PCFMA's vibrant network of farmers' markets! As our Marketing & Promotions Specialist, you will be the visual storyteller and social media maestro, crafting captivating content, building online communities, and driving foot traffic to support local farmers. This role emphasizes strong graphic design skills to create compelling visuals for social media and beyond.
What You'll Do:
- Visual Storyteller: Craft visually compelling narratives that showcase the heart of PCFMA's markets and the stories of our passionate farmers, using photography and graphic design. You'll translate these stories into engaging visual content that resonates with our community.
- Design-Focused Content Creator: Develop fresh, visually stunning content for print and digital marketing materials. This includes designing eye-catching graphics, capturing and editing photos, and creating layouts for brochures, flyers, posters, signage, and website assets, and more.
- Brand Champion: Be a steward of PCFMA's visual identity. You'll maintain and evolve the aesthetics of our farmers’ market collateral, ensuring consistency and a cohesive brand experience across all marketing touchpoints.
- Marketing Collaborator: Work closely with other members of the marketing team to develop integrated campaigns, contributing design expertise to all marketing materials.
- Production Management: Oversee the production of printed materials, working with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong fundamental skills in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing your creative abilities.
- A solid understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
- Basic copywriting skills to complement your visual storytelling.
- Excellent photography skills and experience in photo editing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for local agriculture and farmers' markets is a plus!
- The wiliness to learn and grow
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in graphic design (internships welcome!).
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is essential.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field preferred. In place of a degree, equivalent experience contributing successful graphic design in a similar role may be considered.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines consistently.
Starting wage range: $20.00-$23.00 Hourly
