Company description
I sell frozen soups and casseroles, made from scratch with produce and meat from local farms, whole grains and with lots of great fiber and protein from beans, lentils, and other pulses. I've been a chef in Atlanta for about 15 years--I worked at Holeman & Finch, Empire State South, Storico Fresco, and for Farm Burger as a company chef. My website is www.dandelionfood.store
Job description
I'm looking for someone to work up farmers markets on Sunday mornings, for about 5 hours/market. Partial availability is fine. Training pay is $15/hour for 4-6 markets where we'll work together. After that, it's $19/hr plus 3% commission above base sales (about $15-20/market).
Job requirements:
Lift at least 50# unassisted, and be able to set up an ez-up, table and sign.
The ideal candidate:
- Is extremely friendly and outgoing--my products are almost exclusively frozen, so it's the retail worker's job to make sure that we engage every person walking past and let them know what we're selling.
- Is able to and happy to start conversations with people, find out what they need, and how we can meet their needs.
- Is passionate about food, especially local and seasonal food, and knowledgeable about basic food preparations, and can answer questions about allergies and sensitivities (I provide training and reference materials, including food to taste for training purposes).
- Is organized and efficient: they can set up and follow a system that keeps supplies in consistent places.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
