Account Executive
TLD’s Sales Account Executive is responsible for making sales of custom, hands-on marketing services, media and education to a niche audience of local food businesses across the country. Their role is integral to the mission and sustainability of TLD. The ideal candidate has strong sales experience and comfort with sales of services to busy entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities Include:
Individual Sales & Revenue Generation (80%)
- Meet or exceed your annual sales goal
- Provide quality customer service & relationship development throughout territory
- Prioritize strong, effective outgoing strategies; including, but not limited to: phone calls, email, in-person visits and social media outreach.
- Follow up with timely, personal responses to inbound inquiries
Participate as an Active and Accountable member of the Sales Team (15%)
- Support TLD’s sales strategy through customer feedback and industry knowledge
- Contribute to weekly sales meetings and reporting
- Actively use the CRM to track client data, monthly lead targets, pipeline progress, lead activity and revenue generation.
Community Outreach, Networking and Brand Awareness (5%)
- Table, Network and Present at Conferences, as needed
- Share opportunities for Brand Awareness events & activities with Director of Sales
- Proactively connect with farm or food business clients who can become strong referral partners
Desired Skills:
- Extensive sales experience, preferably in sales of marketing services
- Strength in building and maintaining authentic relationships
- Comfort with cold calls and occasional travel
- Experience or interest in local food systems
- Quick learner with ability to ask questions
- Collaborative in nature, with ability to work and communicate across departments
- Self directed and comfortable with remote based work
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Base Salary Range: $28,000-$32,000
Annual Commission Target, calculated at 10% of sales: $32,000+
Total On Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000-64,000+
Commission compensation is tiered and uncapped.
*Minimum salary of $684 / week or $35,568 / year is guaranteed.
Location: Fully remote, with ability to travel
While our team is largely based in Michigan, we welcome applicants from anywhere in the United States.
