Theodora Farms is a USDA Certified Organic vegetable and herb farm in Godfrey, IL. Our mission is to catalyze the health and happiness of our region through food and agriculture. We grow and sell quality vegetables based on taste and shelf-life. Our farming practices focus on building soil and creating efficient and ergonomic systems. We love providing healthy vegetables to customers in our hometown and the St. Louis region. We sell to various wholesale accounts, through our onsite, full-service grocery store, and provide fresh organic produce to two food pantries in our community. 

Job description

Field Assistants at Theodora Farms contribute to all areas of crop production, including sowing, planting, cultivation, harvest, and sales. Directed by the Farm Manager, Field Assistants contribute to the overall success of the farm. Success in this role will be measured by the quality of work, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Please note that twice weekly deliveries are a primary responsibility of Field Assistants, and we therefore require a driver's license. 

Reliable transportation is required as start and end times of the work day change throughout the season, as well as the need for occasional weekend work as stated in job description.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
