Company description

Tivoli Mushrooms was started in 2018 by a chef who has since gathered a team of other former chefs, builders and an engineer who have come together to put our combined energies into cultivating the highest quality mushrooms. We are a diverse group of people brought together by the love of working with mushrooms. Together we built a mushroom farm in the Hudson River Valley that was specially designed for large scale mushroom farming. All of our production is in-house. We hands-on formulate, pasteurize and inoculate all of our mushroom substrate.  

We forage for seasonally available, local, wild mushrooms, greens and berries. We have partnered with Foraged and Found Edibles in Seattle Washington, an established west coast wild food purveyor to bring in specialties from the Pacific Norht West year round. 

In addition to the farm in Hillsdale, NY we have an office + lab in Hudson, NY where we craft medicinal tinctures (GO Mushrooms) and an awesome sales team at our distribution center in the Pfizer Building in Brooklyn, NY.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and hardworking individual to join our team at Farmer’s Markets. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up market stalls and mushrooms displays, as well as selling and restocking mushrooms over the course of the market. You will work in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

 • Make sure setup is attractive and safe

 • Portion mushrooms for sale

 • Interact with and educate customers throughout the market period

 • Break down and return market to home base

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 • Strong attention to detail and quality control

 • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages (50 Lbs)

 • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

 • Basic math skills for weighing and counting

 • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends, if necessary

• Candidates possessing a valid driver's license are preferred, so that they might legally drive a vehicle to and from markets. Non-driving positions are also possible.

Compensation
