Oregon Road Organics is a certified organic specialty produce farm located in Cutchogue on Long Island’s North Fork. Founded in 2019, we are a family owned and operated farm. Since our founding, we have expanded to grow over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables. Our farm operates with a commitment to sustainable, healthy practices including crop rotation, cover cropping, and Integrated Pest Management.
We sell wholesale organic produce across Long Island and Brooklyn, run a CSA program with local pickups for about 50 families, and participate in several community Farmers Markets in Suffolk and Nassau counties.
Job description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Farmstand Associate to assist with selling organic produce at our farm stand. The role includes supporting the picking up of CSA shares on Saturday mornings. The Farmstand Associate will work closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure the farm stand is well-stocked, signage is accurate, and the area is well-maintained.
Responsibilities
Assist with stocking the farm stand and maintaining product displays
Ensure signage is accurate and up to date
Help with CSA share pickups on Saturday mornings
Support the daily operations of the farm stand, including customer service
Maintain a clean and organized farm stand environment
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in food systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on uneven surfaces
Experience or willingness to learn to use the POS system (Square)
Strong self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Available on weekends and holidays, including Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day

This is a part-time, seasonal position from June to October, working Fridays to Sundays, 20-25 hours per week. Pay range is $19-$21 per hour, based on experience.
