Job Description: Office Operations Manager
Champlain Valley Apiaries – Middlebury, Vermont
Position Overview:
Champlain Valley Apiaries is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Office Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy honey production facility. Champlain Valley Apiaries is a 94-year-old, fourth generation honey business located in Middlebury, Vermont. This full-time, salaried position (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) offers a competitive annual salary with benefits. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, from managing orders to supporting wholesale customers, and is particularly dynamic during the holiday season (November–January), when demand peaks. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Shopify is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment & Shipping: Fill, pack, and ship honey orders promptly and accurately. Organize freight shipments for larger orders.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels of labels, jars, caps, and other supplies.
Place orders to maintain adequate inventory.
Customer Support & Communication:
Answer phone calls. Correspond with wholesale and retail customers Provide quotes, create invoices, and onboard new customers.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain and update customer records and order information.
Ensure all documentation is accurate and organized. Manage other office workers and day to day tasks
Technology Use:
Manage and utilize Shopify and QuickBooks for e-commerce and accounting needs. Social media to promote different sales campaigns. Marketing and promotion management
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Familiarity with Shopify and QuickBooks is a plus but not required.
Experience in inventory management or office operations is preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, particularly during the busy holiday season.
Compensation:

Work Environment:
This is a hands-on role in a busy office environment. The position is most demanding between November and January 1, requiring a dedicated, proactive approach to managing increased seasonal orders. As a 95 year old family business, we are deeply committed to our employees and their well-being.
Compensation
