The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing & Communications to shape Tend’s marketing, branding, and communication strategies. This hands-on, individual contributor role focuses on developing our brand persona, increasing our reach, driving user acquisition, and supporting the agricultural community through effective storytelling and innovative marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
-Strategic Marketing Development
Develop and execute holistic marketing strategies across digital, print, and experiential channels (e.g., trade shows).
-Brand & Communications Oversight
Craft a compelling brand voice, establish consistent messaging, and manage public relations initiatives to elevate Tend’s market presence.
-Content & Campaign Management
Oversee content creation—from email marketing and social media to webinars and newsletters—ensuring high engagement and conversion.
-Website Guidance & Collaboration on SEO
Collaborate with the in-house SEO specialist to guide website design, user experience, and performance analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush).
-CRM & Automation
Manage and optimize HubSpot workflows, campaigns, and data organization to ensure effective lead nurturing, segmentation, and performance tracking.
-Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with external consultants, contractors, and internal teams (Product, Sales, Development) to drive marketing initiatives and align objectives.
Qualifications
-5+ years of marketing and communications experience, with recent hands-on experience developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns.
-Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing (email, social, paid ads), communications (public relations, brand management), and marketing analytics.
-Proficiency with HubSpot (or similar CRM/automation tools) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
-Experience using graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) to create visually compelling content.
-Strong copywriting and editing skills, with a keen eye for brand consistency.
-Effective project management abilities, capable of juggling multiple campaigns and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Flexible schedule to accommodate global team collaboration and event timelines.
-Passion for agriculture or sustainability is highly desirable.
Note: This position does not have direct reports but requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
