Position Overview:
This position is a member of PFP’s Co-Executive Director Team, which shares executive leadership responsibilities across programs, operations, and strategy. This role oversees farm-based and community-focused educational programs, including Farm to School initiatives, workshops, public events, and the Herbal Garden program. The Director ensures grant deliverables are met, fosters partnerships, and champions equity, accessibility, & engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership and Development
- Plan and implement community-based educational programs aligned with PFP’s mission and strategic goals.
- Oversee Farm to School initiatives, including field trips, taste tests, classroom visits, and professional development.
- Coordinate workshops, volunteer orientations, and educational programming for youth and community members.
- Integrate food justice, racial equity, and sustainability into all programming.
- Lead curriculum development to ensure relevance and impact.
Program Administration and Budget Oversight
- Develop and manage program budgets in alignment with grant guidelines.
- Track spending and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Prepare program updates, evaluations, and financial reports for stakeholders.
Team Leadership and Supervision
- Hire, train, and mentor program staff and interns.
- Foster collaboration and peer accountability within the team.
- Supervise program implementation, ensuring high-quality engagement and instruction.
Community Engagement and Public Programming
- Act as a representative of PFP at community events, farm tours, and workshops.
- Build relationships with schools, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Organize public-facing events that highlight food access and equity.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Design evaluation strategies to measure program impact.
- Gather feedback to inform program improvements.
- Ensure programs meet grant deliverables and equity goals.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in program administration, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Expertise in curriculum development, community organizing, and education.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of social justice frameworks and food equity.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and budgeting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Slack (preferred).
- Commitment to advancing racial, food, and language justice.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary of $60,408.50.
- Generous health insurance contribution, dental coverage, and CSA share benefits.
- 21 days of vacation/holiday time and 10 sick days in the first year.
