Job description
Scale Food Labs is looking for a R&D Associate to assist in our food innovation lab! The R&D Associate is responsible for supporting production activities, maintaining cleanliness in production areas, and assisting with day-to-day operations under the R&D Manager's direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support:
Assist in preparing and scaling recipes for production and test batches.
Execute daily production schedules as directed by the R&D Manager.
Support batch cooking and monitor production flow for efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine visual inspections of equipment; report maintenance needs to the Supply Chain Manager.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dish pit, and ingredient storage.
Ensure workspaces are clean and sanitized before and after use.
Inventory Assistance:
Organize and manage ingredient inventory in the kitchen.
Assist with labeling and proper storage of ingredients and packaging materials.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to food safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Participate in training new team members on production processes.
Job Requirements:
Be proactive in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Work collaboratively to support production goals.
Display a commitment to continuous improvement.

Must be able to lift 25+ pounds.
Must be able to speak and write in English.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
