Job Summary
We are seeking a Poultry Processor to join our food production team at Pamplin Poultry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of food products while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, we are seeking a candidate who is willing and able to assist in multiple aspects of our business, bringing a strong ‘can-do’ attitude to each task.

Able to be on your feet for long durations of time
Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
Schedule Details
Starting March 18th: process birds on Tuesdays, butcher & pack on Wednesdays and Thursdays, grind sausage and pack all customer orders on Fridays, run delivery routes and sell products at the farmer's market on Saturdays. Sundays and Mondays are off days.
In addition, we have paid 2-week breaks, one in August and one in December.
Duties
Operate and maintain processing equipment while following all safety guidelines.
Fabricate and package food products according to established specifications.
Perform meat cutting and preparation tasks with precision using knives and other tools.
Ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards throughout the production process.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
Periodic customer service and sales tasks, including rotating (monthly) Saturday shifts operating the farmer's market stand.
Skills
Proficiency in meat/poultry processing and packing procedures
Mechanical knowledge to operate processing/kitchen equipment and troubleshoot potential issues.
Familiarity with HACCP principles and their application in food production environments and food safety.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork, collaboration, and customer service tasks.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
