The Rooting Pig is an on-farm charcuterie bar on Maine's Midcoast serving meat & cheese boards, seasonal plates, salads, and sandwiches, complimented with Maine craft beers, ciders, hard seltzers and an intentional selection of natural wines. The Rooting Pig sources locally, including right on site from Broad Arrow Farm, which raises pigs and poultry, and houses a whole-animal butchery and specialty food market.
Our mission is to reconnect the consumer with Real Food. We raise the finest pork and poultry using regenerative methods and  transform it into the taste memorable, nutrient-dense dishes and meals our ancestors loved. Job description

Our small on-farm market and butchery located on Maine's Midcoast seeks an affable, self-motivated and responsible individual to greet, serve and serve guests at The Rooting Pig, our outdoor charcuterie bar, for the summer 2025 season.  The ideal candidate would have front-of-house bar experience, ability to navigate a POS, and an appreciation for Maine craft beers and ciders and our intentional selection of natural wines. Consistent with our mission, we offer guests more than great food, satisfying drink, and a beautiful setting; we offer a unique culinary experience that reconnects them with Real Food. We welcome families, kids and pets. Position is full time, five days a week with no early mornings or late evenings.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

• setting up, restocking, and breaking down outdoor bar and seating area
• collaborating with owners for drinks selection and stock ordering
• taking and serving guest orders
• Making cocktails
• communicating with kitchen to process and fill orders
• keeping a tidy bar and tables

Compensation

In addition to hourly salary, charcuterie bar team members receive a share of pooled tips.
