Fog Eater is a vegan Southern restaurant owned by two women in beautiful Mendocino, California. We source almost all of our produce locally, use only organic ingredients, and have unique, innovative menu items that change regularly. Lots of our baked goods and savory dishes are undetectably gluten-free. The restaurant is a VERY fun work environment--we listen to loud music, dance and sing while we cook, and really are all friends who hang out on our weekends too :). Mendocino is an actual dream to live in--a tiny village right on the Pacific Ocean with redwood forests just minutes away. In the summer, we spend our days off picnicking at the beach, and in the winter, we forage for the abundant mushrooms that cover the forest floors. San Francisco is only about 3 hours away, so trips to the city for museums and nightlife are easy and fun. Our chef at Fog Eater is willing to teach just about anyone with passion and a good work ethic. Job description
The main shifts needed are line cook for dinner service. This involves some prep and clean up at the end. The ideal candidate will also take interest in helping create new menu items, help with inventory, and occasionally work other shifts for coverage. If you’re into baking, we can train you on pastry too! We also own a wine bar on the property. The opportunities for learning are abundant!
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
