Are you a passionate pastry chef ready to bring your craft to a stunning coastal setting? Morgan Atelier, a unique Bakery & Gallery located on the serene North Haven Island off the coast of Rockland, Maine, is looking for a creative and skilled pastry chef to join our team.

About Us:
Nestled in a tight-knit, artistic community rooted in the island’s fishing culture, North Haven boasts a year-round population of 350, which blossoms to over 1300 in the summer months. Business is vibrant during the peak season, with July and August bringing a rush of eager customers to our doors.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a full-time pastry chef from June to September to bring their expertise and flair to our early morning rush. You’ll be the mastermind behind the production of fresh, mouth-watering pastries that greet our early risers heading to the morning ferry next door.

You will be in charge of everything: crafting, prepping, baking, and cleaning up. Your keen eye for detail and ability to handle off-island orders with precision and speed are essential. Excellence is non-negotiable—every pastry should meet the highest standards of quality.

Job description

Self creation of morning pastries for hungry audience of early risers meeting the morning ferry next door. You are fully in charge of the production of all goods, prep, bake-off and clean up. You must know your quantities and ingredients for orders of off island delivery in a timely manner. 

Everything should be Superior quality and excellence. Expectations are high!

 Applicant should have a minimum of Three years experience, Confident and personable, able to occasionally welcome customers into your sanctuary. 
 

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $25.00 - $35.00
