Job description
The Role
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue, including café, restaurant, beverage management, and retail sales. This role requires a hands-on leader passionate about hospitality, sustainability and operational excellence who will play a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining the success of this new venture. Working closely with ownership, you will share responsibility for all aspects of the venue, including:
Operations Management:
Ensure smooth daily operations of the café, restaurant, and retail sections while upholding company standards in service, cleanliness, and atmosphere.
Beverage Program
Oversight: Manage and innovate the beverage offerings, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections, ensuring alignment with the venue’s farm-to-table ethos.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor team members to foster a motivated and high-performing staff. Lead by example to inspire exceptional guest service.
Sales and Profitability:
Drive sales and profitability through effective inventory management, cost control, and strategic planning.
Guest Interaction: Deliver exceptional hospitality by engaging with guests and addressing feedback to enhance their experience.
Financial Management: Oversee budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports to ensure the venue meets its financial goals.
Retail Sales Management:
Oversee the retail component, ensuring product curation, merchandising, and sales align with the company’s brand values.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: At least 3–5 years in restaurant or café management, including beverage program oversight and retail sales.
Leadership: A proven track record of leading, mentoring, and inspiring teams.
Passion for Hospitality: An innate ability to connect with guests and create memorable dining experiences.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and driving sales in a dynamic environment.
Commitment to Quality: A passion for farm-to-table dining and a dedication to upholding the highest standards in all aspects of operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant, café, or retail management, preferably in a farm-to-table or high-quality dining environment.
Expertise in beverage management, including wine, craft cocktails, and coffee.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgets, P&L management, and cost control.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and coach staff.
Passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction, and sustainability.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
